He also held successive executive roles as the CTO of Peraton and a Principle with The Chertoff Group. Prior to joining AE Industrial, he served as the 40th Chief of Staff of the United States Army, from August 2019 to August 2023, where he was responsible for overseeing an organization of 1.2 million personnel with a budget of $185 billion. His leadership and modernization initiatives led the Army through its most significant transformational efforts in more than 40 years and included the adoption of a new information age-focused talent management platform, as well as new weapon systems. Among his numerous accomplishments as Chief of Staff, he navigated the Army’s COVID response, natural disaster support, and force deployments across the globe. Mr. Mercer is a Special Advisor to AE Industrial across its entire portfolio of investments and strategies. He brings over 35 years of experience at GE, where he most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of Engineering at GE Aviation, overseeing the design, development, certification and field services of GE Aviation’s Commercial & Military engines. After retiring from GE Aviation in January 2022, Mr. Mercer founded GDMercer Consulting to provide technology, safety, engineering, regulatory and leadership expertise to his clients. He began his career at GE as a design engineer at Aircraft Engines in 1985. He held engineering positions in both Military and Commercial products before joining GE Energy in 1993. Mr. Van Buskirk is a Vice President at AE Industrial and a member of AE Ventures, the venture capital platform of AE Industrial Partners. He is a retired Navy Captain and accomplished aviator with over 2,500 flight hours across nine military and civil aircraft. With 25 years of Department of Defense experience, he is a founding member of both the Secretary of Defense’s Office of Strategic Capital, whose mission is to align private capital with critical national security objectives, and the Navy’s Warfighting Development Directorate, where he was charged with running a framework focused on solving the Navy’s most pressing operational problems. He also served as Director of NavalX, the sea service’s innovation and agility cell, which addressed friction points between acquisition, fleet requirements, R&D, budgeting, end users and industry. As an operational squadron commander, his unit was honored as the best helicopter sea-combat squadron in the Pacific Fleet and for having the best aviation maintenance program in the U.S. Department of Defense. Over his tenure, he has advised numerous startups, investors and senior industry leaders and operated at the highest level of government.

Mr. Vick is an Operating Partner at AE Industrial and currently serves on the Board of Directors of AE Industrial portfolio company Yingling Aviation and serves as Chairman of the board of Global Jet Capital, an AE Industrial portfolio investment which is the largest independent provider of financing solutions to the business aviation market. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Solairus Aviation, prior to its sale in 2022. Prior to joining AE industrial in 2014, Mr. Vick served as Executive Vice President at Hawker Beechcraft until its ownership transition to Textron in 2013. Prior to Hawker Beechcraft, Mr. Vick was President & CEO of Landmark Aviation Airport Services, the FBO subsidiary of Landmark Aviation, a former portfolio company of AE Industrial, and President of Landmark Aviation, which grew to 48 FBO locations and 4 large scale MRO facilities. Mr. Vick has over 30 years of operating experience in the business aviation market, having held senior leadership positions at four of the world’s 25 largest OEM manufacturers: Gulfstream Aerospace, Bombardier Aerospace, British Aerospace and Hawker Beechcraft. He also has operating experience in the MRO and charter management segments of the business aviation market. Dr. Vigeant-Langlois is Managing Director at AE Industrial with a primary focus on new business development and portfolio management across AE Industrial’s private equity, venture capital, and aircraft leasing funds. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of AE Industrial portfolio companies: Alpine Air, Applied Composites, Columbia Helicopters, Edge Autonomy and G.S. Precision, and on AE Ventures investments Near Earth Autonomy and FLYR Labs. Prior to joining AE Industrial, Dr. Vigeant-Langlois worked for GE Aviation as Chief Executive Officer of the GE Passport joint venture and program management executive responsible for the Passport, CF34-3 and CF34-8C engines on Bombardier and Mitsubishi’s business and regional aircraft. Previously at GE, Dr. Vigeant-Langlois played a key role on the founding team that launched and grew GE Additive as a leading force in industrial 3D printing, and led the strategy and global field marketing teams supporting the sale of GE Aviation’s engines, systems and services across commercial, business and military aviation. Before GE, Dr. Vigeant-Langlois led commercial, product and engineering teams in aerospace and high-tech industries. At Sikorsky Aircraft (now part of Lockheed Martin), she launched new engineering innovation programs. At aircraft lessor CIT (now Avolon), she gained increasing responsibilities in the acquisition of over $9B of aircraft and engines. Mr. Wright is a Special Advisor to AE Industrial across its entire portfolio of investments and strategies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of AE Industrial portfolio companies: Edge Autonomy and G.S. Precision. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for GE Aviation, where he retired in December 2022. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of financial strategy for GE Aviation’s $30 billion aerospace business with more than 80 facilities in 21 countries around the globe. In addition, he managed GE Aviation’s operating rhythms and performance, while partnering with the leadership team to set and execute the business strategy. Mr. Wright joined GE in 1988 in the Financial Management Program. He then spent six years with the Corporate Audit Staff and held global finance leadership roles of increasing responsibility for several GE businesses, including Finance Manager, Asia Pacific for Transportation; Finance Manager, Asia, Europe and Africa for Energy; Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for Oil & Gas; Chief Financial Officer, Property & Casualty for Insurance Solutions and Chief Financial Officer for GE Transportation. Mr. Wright also has experience in mergers and acquisition, serving as the Corporate Staff Executive for M&A in Hong Kong in 1998, and in risk management, serving as the Global Risk & Underwriting Manager for GE Insurance Solutions in 2002. Prior to joining GE Aviation, he served as Chief Financial Officer for GE Healthcare International, where he was responsible for the Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Greater Asia regions for GE’s Healthcare business.
