Mr. McCoy is a Senior Director at AE Industrial within the firm’s Portfolio Strategy and Operations Group. Prior to joining AE Industrial in 2026, Mr. McCoy served as the Intelligence Community Chief Financial Officer at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), where he was responsible for the formulation and oversight of the National Intelligence Program budget across the 18 elements of the Intelligence Community. Before joining ODNI in 2025, Mr. McCoy was a Principal at Nextfed Inc., where he led the firm’s Intelligence and Acquisition Strategy practice and advised on M&A transactions across the defense and intelligence sectors, with a focus on the intersection of national security, emerging technology, and private capital. Prior to joining Nextfed Inc., Mr. McCoy spent nearly 15 years at the Central Intelligence Agency in senior acquisition leadership roles. Mr. McCoy is a recipient of the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, awarded for his transformative efforts to strengthen Intelligence Community resource management and engage non-traditional business partners.
