Belcan LLC is investing more than $3 million and adding 200 jobs in
Palm Beach County, Gov. Rick Scott announced Tuesday.
The Cincinnati-based global supplier of engineering, technical
recruiting and IT services will grow its local operations in an
expansion project assisted by Enterprise Florida, the Florida
Department of Economic Opportunity and the Business
Development Board of Palm Beach County.
Belcan, which employs about 8,000 people 55 locations across the
world, has a local facility at 48000 Riverside Drive in Palm Beach
Gardens. The company has about 600 workers throughout Florida.
“Belcan’s expansion is proof that Palm Beach County is a great place to grow businesses and jobs,” said
Business Development Board of Palm Beach County President and CEO Kelly Smallridge, noting the
region’s 1300 aviation and aerospace companies that employ 17,000 people at an average salary of
$90,000.
Belcan has increased its number of Florida employees by 300 percent in the past five years.
“Belcan is extremely pleased to be expanding our regional presence and extending our long-term
commitment to the great state of Florida,” said Belcan Chief Executive Office Lance Kwasniewski. “The
thriving business climate created by the state and local governments, along with the outstanding
universities and excellent infrastructure, are among the key factors contributing to the success of this
area.”
Palm Beach County Mayor Paulette Burdick said Belcan was considering moving its local jobs to another
state.
“The state, county, city of West Palm Beach, and the BDB worked closely together to ensure that Belcan
stayed in our area,” Burdick said. “With our combined efforts we hit a homerun.”
